Hello All: A beautiful spring thus far. The geese are making their grovel racket, and the ducks have returned which means summer is close at hand. Tuesday Night Men's Horseshoe League will start June 1st. I will need everyone's commitment at least 2 weeks prior. The 4th Annual Governors' Cup Mixed Team Horseshoe Tourney will, as always, be on Race Day at 1:30pm. This Tourney is for the rights to the L.E.C.C. Trophy and bragging rights for the year. The other tournaments will be held on Sunday June 20th and August 15th. As well, the Men's Association will be holding a special breakfast the 3rd Sunday July on the 18th and on August 15. Menu to be announced at a later date. This year the Men will also be sponsoring the Chili Cook Off. Great prizes are already in hand and a trophy for our mantel has been purchased. So get those fantastic secret recipes ready. The Cook Off will be on August 29th at high noon. All are welcome to sample for a $3.00 donation. We would like to have at least 3 scheduled work days again this year - "to be announced". Last year these days were instrumental in accomplishing all we did. Thanks again to all that helped.
To all our friends traveling this way for the summer we wish you a safe journey. To all those that are here... well, lets admit it, we are the lucky ones aren't we.
